Daniel Alegre, the current COO of Activision Blizzard, will be stepping into the role of CEO at Yuga Labs, the startup behind Bored Ape Yacht Club, effective tomorrow.
Alegre’s appointment was announced back in December, and he will be taking over from Nicole Muniz.
Prior to his role at Activision Blizzard, Alegre spent 16 years at Google in various leadership positions, including as President of Global Retail, Shopping and Payments.

Input Output Global (IOG), the builder of the Cardano blockchain, has appointed Eran Barak as CEO of its new data-protection protocol, Midnight.
The protocol is currently in development and will use zero-knowledge proofs to protect personal and commercial data in areas such as finance, healthcare, and supply chain management.
Midnight will function as a sidechain to the Cardano blockchain. Barak was formerly the COO at markets technology platform Symphony, and has also held senior positions at Amdocs and Thomson Reuters.
