The Moskowitz Law Firm, which has filed class-action lawsuits against FTX and Voyager Digital, has filed a new complaint against Binance on behalf of “hundreds of thousands of victims.” Led by attorney Adam Moskowitz, the law firm filed the complaint against Binance, CEO Changpeng Zhao, and various influencers who promoted the exchange in Florida.
The law firm is using Florida’s Blue Sky laws, which require securities to be registered truthfully and accurately, to make its case.
The law firm alleges that Binance, FTX, Voyager, and related individuals sold and promoted unregistered securities.
Legal experts note that since cryptocurrencies are not traded on a national securities exchange, state-level regulations can be applied, which opens the possibility for more unregistered securities complaints.
Moskowitz Law Firm has been investigating Binance and its alleged securities fraud for a year and plans to hold every promoter of unregistered securities accountable.
The previous lawsuits filed against FTX and Voyager by the Moskowitz Law Firm are still pending.
